Hilary has been the proud owner of The Animal Lodge since 2005 and has dedicated so much of her life to caring for animals. With The Animal Lodge becoming a limited business, she is now a dedicated Director and is very appreciative of all the hardworking staff members at Animal Lodge Ltd.

Craig has been a Director of Animal Lodge Ltd since 2023 and has brought new life into the business, with additions such as our Luxury Dog Kennel. He’s been a dog owner for the majority of his life and has always been fond of the smaller breeds, but has been won over by his Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Stanley and Rafa, and now has a love for big dogs too.

Josh has lived on site at The Animal Lodge since 2005, giving him many years of experience looking after and caring for pets. He is very proud of all the staff that are currently working here as their genuine fondness for animals, paired with their extraordinary sense of teamwork and friendship is truly remarkable. He has been a member of staff since 2019 and, after being appointed a director, has enjoyed working closely with Hilary and Craig in cementing a strong future for the business.

Amy started volunteering at The Animal Lodge in 2018 and soon became a valued member of staff, working weekends and during the summer holidays before she started her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Myerscough College. Since then, Amy has worked at The Animal Lodge full time and has loved every second of it. She has a First Aid for Cats & Dogs Certificate and continues to develop her knowledge in animal care.

Prior to working at The Animal Lodge, Liv has had lots of experience with animals at Myerscough College and as a volunteer at other pet related businesses. She started her Work Experience at The Animal Lodge in 2021 and is now a full-time member of staff. She has a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management, a First Aid for Cats and Dogs Qualification and a First Aid at Work Certificate.

Whether they are her own pets, local wildlife or those staying at The Animal Lodge, Amy has always had a deep love for animals and an interest in their welfare. She has a QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF), a CPD Accredited Certificate in Pet First Aid and is currently working towards a CPD Certificate for Animal Care and Behaviour. Amy has been volunteering at The Animal Lodge since October 2023 and now works part time.

Ellie has always had a strong passion for working with animals and works part time at The Animal Lodge. She is currently working towards her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management.

Isla has a great love for animals and has had a wide variety of pets over the years – ranging from furry ones to scaley ones. She volunteered at a private exotic animal rescue for four years and has worked for us at The Animal Lodge since 2022. Isla has a Level 2 in Animal Care and is currently working towards her Level 3 Kennels and Cattery Qualification.

Jade has always been a huge animal lover and is extremely passionate when it comes to taking care of them. She has achieved a CPD Certified Veterinary Assistant Diploma along with CPD Certificates for Working with Dogs and Animal Care and Welfare. Jade also has a First Aid for Cats and Dogs Award, as well as a CPD Level 2 Award in Animal Care.

Lucas has always had a passion for animals despite never having one of his own. He started working part-time for us in 2023 during his holidays from college and on the weekends. He has now completed his Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Myerscough College and is continuing to work towards more animal related qualifications. He has recently rescued a little furry friend and can now say that he has a loving and mischievous pet of his own.

Sophie has been a volunteer at The Animal Lodge since 2015 and feels very privileged to have been able to care for animals for over a decade. She has particularly enjoyed learning about the different needs and behaviours of the pets that have stayed here and has loved getting used to the unique personalities of our regular boarders. Sophie finds it extremely fulfilling to be part of such a dedicated team. Sophie considers The Animal Lodge a second home and she looks forward to being able to continue making a difference to the lives of the animals that we care for.
